Public Safety Dispatchers

Communications personnel are responsible for answering emergency and non-emergency calls for Police, Fire and Emergency Medical Services for the citizens of Weed.

Public Safety Dispatchers enter calls for emergency services into a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system and dispatch Police, Fire and EMS personnel via voice radios. Weed's Public Safety Dispatchers answer over 30,000 calls a year for 911 and non-emergency service.

The Public Safety Dispatchers receive all emergency and non-emergency calls and provide data entry functions through the Criminal Justice Information System and the National Crime Information Center.

We recently have remodeled out communication center with 2 active stations.  Our communication center is 24-7 for any assistance that is needed.
