WEED CITY FIRE DEPARTMENT

We save lives and protect property.

April 19, 2021

Dear Property Owner or Tenant:
SUBJECT:  FIRE DANGER

As Fire Chief of the City of Weed, it is my responsibility to inform you that fire danger is a concern for all of us.

The owner or occupant of the property must remove all weeds, grass, tree trimmings, brush, vines or other growth, and litter or debris, when it endangers property or constitutes a fire hazard.  We recommend clearing all flammable vegetation within 100 feet of structures, cutting small trees and brush to leave widely spaced larger trees and maintaining a well-pruned landscape.  You must also maintain all vacant lots to reduce the fire danger.

All yard clean-up must be done by May 31, 2021 this year in order to help minimize fire danger.

Your assistance and cooperation in this matter is being requested at this time.  Please contact the Fire Station at 938-5030 if you have questions.

Sincerely,

Steve Duncan

Fire Chief
